Tracer 3
Ultrabeam’s newest vessel, TRACER 3, is a 9.00m road transportable cabin RIB which complies with Category 3 certification under the UK MCA Code of Practice, allowing her to work up to 20 miles from a safe haven.
Tracer 3 enables quick and efficient mobilisation coupled to excellent stability and seaworthiness, particularly for a road towable boat. The vessel can be road transported to pretty much any destination on her lightweight tri-axle trailer and slipway launched or lifted in at any suitable marina facility. Tracer 3 is able to transit at speeds well in excess of 20 knots during suitable weather and sea conditions. Her twin Mercury Verado 250 outboard motors provide quiet and fuel efficient propulsion with long range fuel tanks giving excellent range and duration, especially useful for remote sites. The vessel is ideally suited to coastal survey or to supporting multiple uncrewed remotely operated survey vessels.
In addition to a range of electronic navigation aids, including chart plotter, radar, echo sounder and imaging sonar the wheelhouse provides a bright and airy work space with good visibility, suspension seating and cabin heater making her ideal for 12 hour coastal operation at any time of year.
Tracer 3 has permanent transducer mounts and neatly accommodates multi-sensor geophysical survey, supporting multibeam echo sounder, side scan sonar, magnetometer and compact pinger subbottom profiler simultaneously.
